Now that we're into November it's time to preview BBall season. The best district hands down is 11-3A.

Stafford, Wharton and West Columbia are usually pretty good!

I'll put 21-3A up against any district. HARDIN-JEFFERSON, SILSBEE, WO-S, Jasper, Orangefield, Hamshire-Fannett, Bridge City, Kirbyville.

The Dallas Roosevelt/Madison/etc. district.

The panhandle used to have some of the better basketball programs in the state, year in and year out, but it doesnt seem like many of them are nearly as strong now, as they once were, except for maybe in girls basketball.

Boy, times have changed. Sweeny used to be good at thump-thump! We won 3 titles in the '80s & should have won 4 ('54, '85, '87, '88). I was a junior on the '88 team. We were loaded, guys like Benford Williams, Avery Helms, & Bennett Fields. Some bigger schools would not play us, seriously. Fun times. Girls lost 6 times in 9 years in the state finals too.

District 24-3A is tough with Stafford, WC, & Wharton. Stafford went to state semis last year. Others may play spoilers in competitive 8 team district.

19 should be a pretty tough district but Fairfield should be the class of it

Is it now called 3A football down low board? I thought it was a sports board & other topics mixed in?

I love football too, but that statement was just stupid.

I have no clue about our new basketball district. And shoot me, because I won't really care how tough it is until district starts in a few months. ;)

District 29 should be tougher than usual. Gonzales has a rich history in basketball

Goliad produces great basketball teams

Yoakum lately has been producing good teams, although i know they lost some key players.

And Cuero has a great deal of athletes that all it'd take was a little coping with one another to create a playoff contending team.

I dont know much about Palacios basketball anymore, but i'm guessing they'd be the weakest in the distrcit

My bad I guess - you are never serious. Just post padding & stirring the pot.

If you don't like the thread's topic, then don't open the freaking thread!
