Try and not be a homer and vote for the performance you think is outstanding by the numbers.

QB Carlo Dominguez, Raymondville
Passing: 205 yards
Rushing: 95 yards
6 TDS

Brandon Harris - Bellville Sr - WR/RB/DB
16 carries - 116 yards 3 TD
6 catches - 104 yards
1 KO Return - 22 yards
1 Punt Return - 22 yards
7 tackles on Defense

Shawnbrey Mcneal, Dallas Madison gained 217-yards rushing and scored four touchdowns in 13 carries

RB Joseph Banyard, Sweetwater, 19 carries for 187 yards that is 9.84 yds a carry for you people like me are math challenged ( I used the calculator).

Good stat collecton for Brandon Harris. If everyone that nominated could supply all those stats it would be more accurate. Because I know Joseph Banyard had several tackles on D and Im sure the other canidates had tackles and return yards as well.

I hear that.. Cuero Record will be out late tonight or tomorrow (with nice color pictures) Mike Forman of the Victoria Advocate has been giving the Gobblers good coverage this year, I just wish I could figure how to get the stats off the newly formatted online version..

I almost caught myself voting for him because I associated the first name in the body of the post to the poll. WRONG! Hope everyone is paying attention.

when a guy with 19 totes for 187 yards has four more votes then a guy with 13 carries 217 yards and four touchdowns it almost makes the poll not even worthy of anything

I think Bellville's Harris also blocked a kick? Great all-around performance, seemed like there was more than just one #5 playing that game.

Your right Bulls-eye, I forgot to add that Harris also blocked an extra point.

I think that averaging over 16 yards per carry is impressive no matter who you are playing....

We know you would not vote for anyone from Bellville, even when his stats were better?

I think you must have me confused with someone else. I really don't care where a kid plays. I voted for someone besides my own teams' player 2-3 weeks ago, because they had better numbers. The way I looked at it was: Harris had 22 touches for 214 yds = 9.72 yds/touch.....McNeal had 13 carries for 217 yds = 16.69 yds/touch. Since defensive stats are generally not available for ALL players, I tend to go off the info that is similar in nature before I vote.

Are you serious? Believe it or not, not everyone is as narrow minded as others are

I've been here long enough to know my limits its just people like this really get under my skin...I wanna see his logic as to why he would make such a comment? What makes the Valley any different from the rest of Texas?

Don't sweat it, Bearkat. South Texas has been fighting that battle for a long time. It will go on and on and on. Carlo's numbers are impressive no matter who the opponent. I've seen the young man play and I know he's legit.

thats really something we can't help...lately we've been scheduling school from up north but its hard on travel since we're so far removed. i think in the recent past we've been improving and progress has been made...there is only one way to go from here.

I voted for Harris. Saw him play and he was terrific. He was up against La Grange and the #9 defense in 3A according to Massey and still rolled. Good job Brandon.:)

I voted Banyard....Homer? You might think, but by no means is his vote a homer....19 carries for 187 and a 9.84 yards per carry percentage with 2 TD's and atleast 10 tackles against a WYLIE D which is outstanding at getting down-hill quick fast and in a hurry. That kind of performance against Wylie gets my vote any day of the week.
