College Gameday will be in College Station this Saturday for the A&M/OU game.

This is going to be the slowest week of my entire life. I am trying to find out where they are going to set up so I can go ahead and set down a tent and make sure I get a good spot. lol

1. The field next to Cain Hall, with the North end of Kyle in the back drop.
2. On top of the Bright Building where patio is(12th man tv might be fully blocking that)
3. On top of garage on the other side of the train tracks next too the rec, it'll have the West Endzone KYLE FIELD words showing in the back, and showcase the enormousness of the structure

Game Day is not about that particular game. It is about atmosphere. If you have never been to an Aggie game, you are missing it. I'm not just saying it because I am an Aggie. Heck I am a 2 percenter. I have probably only been to 10 games since I graduated 24 years ago but everyone of them will send tingles down your spine.
Game Day is just a base of operation for their studio show.

It also has to be a game that is being picked up by ESPN/ABC for coverage as Herbrsteit has started working the TV broadcasts as well...

Man, I don't know which game to go to. A&M game, or the Diboll-Crockett game. Hmm, or maybe both since they are on different days. Just don't want to spend that money on gas.

Not necessarily, but usually the case. LSU / Tennessee & Wake Forest / BC were other options. Herbstreit did not work the game last weekend when they were in South Carolina. They just started that this year anyway. Sometimes he flies out after Gameday to make his telecast in another city that night.
Glad they are coming to Aggieland. The last time they came was for OU also in 2000 I believe. Good times.
A&M will play hard, but their defense is still suspect at best. Maybe ball control will help again like the Mizzou game.
Game is at 7:00 PM on ABC, split national telecast.
In 2000 they set up in the south end zone by the bleachers towards Netum Steed. I bet they do it different this time to show more of the backdrop of Kyle Field & campus.
It's a fun time if you can go. Harder to hear than you think though. Watch how many women have signs for Herbstreit. They love that guy!

I love coming to Kyle Field. Great atmosphere. My Sooners generally have a tough time there, as do most teams. Nothing is easy. It's a true home field advantage. Everyone needs to take in a game there at least once in their life.
With that said, this is a tremendous test for Thompson. Missouri's crowd was flat (maybe the Cardinal hang over and early start). This will be the loudest stadium he has ever tried to take a snap count in.
