This is not about having the D ready, this is about the fact the Secondary is not as good as people assumed they would be, which I got into arguments with some folks on here in the preseason when I said their Pass D would struggle...Add the fact they are banged up.

The fact Texas made it a 10 point game is huge because in effect the D just has to make that ONE big play such as a TO to keep Texas in it

I can see why people want Instant Replay. But it takes momentum away from a team and that's such a big part of college football. There's times when calls won't go your way when it's like that, but the NFL isn't even this bad with replays. They only do booth reviews within the last 2 minutes of each half.

And accepting the calls is very tea-sipperish of you. They took the momentum from Texas Tech and slowed the game down to let the steers re-group. Heck the announcer even said the white cap wanted to know "what on earth are we going to review" on the Falani catch. The 2 spots at the end of the game were terrible. On 3rd down the line of gain was clearly 1/2 yard up the field from where the Bozo spotted it. Oh well we all know Tech ain't gonna get a fair shot anyway. They have to just take it to get it.

Anyway I'm done with college ball for the year. We are half way through our year in High School football this week. Time to get it on!

This one was hard. Were there questionable calls, of course, but there are in every game. It was a great game if you didn't care who won. I had a blast and there was a new record set at Jones AT&T Stadium tonight; 56,100-something, breaking the record by about 500 people. As much as I hate to say it, the Horns did play a pretty good game and so did Tech, we just didn't get it done when we needed too. Oh well, time to go and forget about this one.

And I'm terribly curious what you were saying if Texas would have lost. Because all of us know damn well you wouldn't be graceful about it. If you can't win w/ grace you know you can't lose with it.

great game, not what i was expecting at all. very glad i got to make this one, worth every dollar i didn't have to pay! the refs were very bad, but tha red raidas had entirely too many chances to not come up with anything, incredible choke job by the entire offense in the second half, dropped balls, incredibly stupid penalties, and a sub par job by the line after an amazing first half. the TU defense did not too much different if anything at all, tech just shot themselves in the foot as usual. the D made McCoy look like Vince Young, flopping around after him like his speed was a 95. oh well, could have been worse, could have gotten blown out.

With over a thousand yards of offense, this was one fun game to watch. The refs were horrible, for both sides, but more against Tech. Congrats to the Horns, they did what they needed to do. Oh, and it was fun watching Mack sweat. :D

Were we watching the same game? The refs were very pro Tech. Tech held every play and I never saw a fly and continiously ran pick plays to get receivers open. The Horns played their worst game of the year and still won. Tech's bowl chances are now almost non-exsistent. They must win seven because one win came against a Division I-AA, which doesn't count.

I believe this year you can count one Division 1-AA victory for your bowl eligibility.

Your on here posting like 24/7 this is a 3a High School football forum. You can't sit there and type that your okay with your HOMETOWN team being 2-7. Maybe if they had a winning season you could updates about those games instead of the longhorns and cowboys. Why are you on here ? You can't HONESTLY say you don't care. That's what losers say.

I only go to watch this one off and on up until the end of the third when Tech was up 31-28. Talk about a great showing by two good offenses. Both teams played hard, but only one could come out victorious. Congrats Longhorns on a come from behind thriller, and also congrats to Tech for fighting all the way and making this one hell of a game.

The Horns played their worst game of the year and still won. Tech's bowl chances are now almost non-exsistent. They must win seven because one win came against a Division I-AA, which doesn't count. Oh, Texas played their worst game of the year becaus Tech hung 31 points on them? :thinking: Tech just exposed a very mediocre secondary.

Your not the only one who feels this way

I think I finally got my voice back %100.

Jones stadium isn't as big as I thought it would be. There were alot of Texas fans around me in the section I was in (102).

It was funny watching the student section crowd surfing with ripped up bleachers.

I was never worried when Tech got up by 21, of course the people I were with were throwing the guns in my face, I just smiled and said alright. I knew Tech wouldn't keep up the offense and defense they showed. My voice box I think exploded on Colts final run

It was a fun time sitting on the bus back to the car just smiling at them. And by that time I could smell my pits through 2 shirts and sweatshirt, my deoderant had been on for 15 hours by then.

It's kind of funny, earlier in the day I played one of the tech fans I was staying with in NCAA Football. They were up by 20 and I came back and won it OT.
