But one that really belongs in the top 10 hasn't, the Cotulla Cowboys. I gotta to give major props to the Cowboys, and their coach, former Judson player, Marcus Booker. Cowboys made the playoffs last year, in class 3A. Cotulla is now finally in 2A, after years of low enrollment at 3A, they continue undefeated at 8-0. They have beaten all their 3A opponents, and last night they beat San Antonio Cole.

I wouldn't want to be #1 in 2a. This will be the 3rd or 4th straight week there will be a new team on top. The curse of the #1 spot.

With Jefferson going down that should mean that the top 3 spots in the 2A poll are all going to be occupied by Waco area schools. That Marlin vs. Mart game sounds like it's going to be a great one. The Centex board said they've already sold more than 2000 tickets for the game and they're having to move it over to Floyd Casey I believe.

I wonder how far (if any) Jefferson will drop, since Harleton wasn't even close to being ranked in the AP poll last week.
