Lufkin vs. The Woodlands

Moorhead Stadium in Conroe

**Watch national recruit Dez Bryant for Lufkin, one of the best WRs in the country still uncommitted right now. Still has grade issues to clear up as well.

Lufkin probably has too much speed for The Woodlands, but the weather could play a factor too.

who wins this one ? i know lufkin is very good but dont know much about the woodlands are they any good ?

Lufkin is favored pretty heavily. Everyone is waiting on the Lufkin vs. Southlake Carroll match-up in the playoffs again. Both are nationally ranked.

The Woodlands is down this year but will fight hard (lost Drabek & others).

Lufkin has speed to burn, saw them earlier in the year. Dez Bryant is a name to remember & they have a sophomore DE too that will be in time. RB is small but lightning fast.

Why? Is it D1/D2 thing? I need to check more closely I guess.

I know SLC has beaten them the past 3 or 4 years in the playoffs.

Lufkin is not very good from what ive seen adn will get killed by Carroll all we can do right now is compare common opponents and lufkin barely beat Evangel who Carroll led 43-0 at half

Lufkin killed Evangel. I watched some of it. It was really ugly until Evangel got a couple of late scores. I still say SLC is better again, but we all know comparing common opponents is useless. Every game is different.

My little brother coaches in the Woodlands, but since he never calls, never writes, etc., I wouldn't know if they were any good or not. Glad to read on the boards that one of the games will be televised....Not that anyone in the family would find out any other way :mad: :mad: :mad:

North Shore is darn good every year. Talk about athletes all over the field...David Aymond has a fine program there & turns out lots of D1 kids.

Correction: I saw the Lufkin vs. Longview game on tv. But still say it is useless to compare common opponents because every game & circumstance is different.
