My bet would be Cuero in 3A, possibly WOS. Overall though? 1A-5A? No idea...maybe SLC?

I wonder about Celina. They certainly have hardware. But I guess you could have a better percentage and never won a ring. Where are the bean counters when you need them?

But we have to remember that not all of those were while in 3A for Celina, WOS, etc...blah, blah, blah

I don't care, but somebody was going to say it sooner or later!

My parents always told me I should have gone into accounting but I went the medical route instead... as much as I like my stats, it's a LOT more interesting figuring out people for a living rather than numbers.

Southlake Carroll would still top the list if only counting 3A as they had a 33-4-1 (88.16%) record during their 8 seasons passing through.

Everman was 14-2 (87.5%) in their 4 years in 3A

2000 - Wylie def Everman 21-13 state semifinals
2001 - Everman def Sinton 25-14 state championship
2002 - Everman def Burnet 35-14 state championship

Marlin's playoff record is 31-18-0 which gives them a 63.67% winning percentage. I haven't updated their chart to include their win over China Spring and loss to Hutto last year. They're also not in 3A anymore, otherwise they would be 10th among current 3A schools.

Great stuff WOS87.

Proud of my Sweeny Bulldogs on the list. I helped out in a few of those playoff wins. Only 1 title though in 1966, came close a few other times. '66 team was the 1st to integrate & it paid off big-time. Elmo Wright & Jimmie Lindsey were the big name guys & futue pros on that team. A bunch went on to play college ball.

FYI: Elmo Wright was the 1st guy ever to perform an end zone dance at University of Houston & later in the pros with the Chiefs, etc. NFL Network even gives him credit! Not exactly something to be proud of I guess, but good trivia nonetheless. His nephew is Rod Wright of Texas & Miami Dolphins.
