Last night in District 30AAA it was:

Sinton over Ingleside 3 - 0 (Sinton also won the JV game)

West Oso over Orange Grove 3 - 2 with West Oso winning the last game 15-10. West Oso also won the JV and Freshmen games.

Aransas Pass over Mathis 3 - 0 (Aransas Pass also won the JV and Freshmen games)

The final standings in District 30AAA are now according to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times:

1. Sinton with a 10 - 0 record.

2. West Oso with an 8 - 2 record

3. Aransas Pass with a 6 - 4 record.

4. Orange Grove with a 4 - 6 record.

5. Ingleside with a 2 - 8 record.

6. Mathis with a 0 - 10 record.

Therefore Sinton, West Oso and Aransas Pass are in with Sinton having a bye (even though they will probably find a warm up game).

Orange Grove usually has a good team but this obviously is a rebuilding year for them. With the close result last night against West Oso even though they lost there must be some encouragment with the close game they played with a brighter future for them coming.

Really hope Bellville can make an appearance at the state tourny again. After losing Memphis OH Katlin Inglish, didn't think the team would do as well as they have. Lost 3 starters I believe last year? Some of the younger girls are really stepping up.

Atlanta OVER Liberty Eylau in 4. Don't know what happened to my girls. Atlanta played very well and we didn't, in all facets of the game. LE won ONE, 25-17, I believe. They lost the next 8-25, 30-32, and I just didn't keep track of the last. Maybe 23-25. This ties ATl+LE in district, so they will have to play-off this week.

They actually lost 6 seniors, 5 of whom were in the 9 girl rotation they were using at end of last year.
They struggled early this year but of course that early season schedule is always tough for Bellville since they play almost all 5A schools.
I think they have a chance to go to state.
Barbers Hill was always a big powerhouse in region 3, but they have gone to 4a now. However, China Springs, who has been ranked #1 all year is in Region 3 with Bellville. Bellville wouldn't meet them until regional semi finals. Hutto ranked #4 for most of year also region 3.

Sweeney was second if my info was correct. La grange (3rd in 23-3a) is playing Sweeney first round which would mean they're 2nd.

This is Wimberley's best shot at winning state in VB over the last 4 seasons. It's very possible it will come down to Sinton vs. Wimberley for the regional title...a game I kinda think Pirate will be at!! Me too!!
