For the Texas fans, a friend asks how she could get tickets - season or game for UT for next year. She wants to take her son to see a Texas game, since he is a big fan. Apparently, when she went out to the UT web site no tickets were available for sale at the beginning of the season. I understand that season tickets holders get first choice, but can anyone else purchase tickets and if so how?

they can but after the Longhorn Foundation folks are through going through their choices and then some of the other alumni groups they are pretty much gone.

you can ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS get tickets outsid of the stadium before the game. IT isnt legal but everyone is doing it and there is little risk of getting in trouble.

Usually if there's anything left after the alumni and Longhorn Foundation get through, they usually go on sale at the beginning of August.

Pretty much have to suck it up and go through a broker or ebay. Or you could tell her to enroll at UT so that she gets dibs on some student tickets. :p Might be cheaper than using ebay.

You never know. There is usually a game or 2 every season that I cant make, so if you want to catch a game next year let me know. I'd be more than happy to let you have some tickets that weren't going to be used, for dirt cheap.
