Carthage had their first loss of the season this weekend

Hondo vs Devine is the only potential meeting of unbeatens that can happen before the playoffs which would be in week 10 as a 9-0 vs 9-0 matchup.

There is absolutely zero percent chance any unbeatens will face each other in the 1st round of the playoffs.

Several huge potential matchups could occur in the 2nd round of tne playoffs as Celina and Dallas Madison, West Orange-Stark and Giddings and Orange Grove and Rio Hondo are all headed on a collision course for Week 12 if they win their next 4 games (3 games for Rio Hondo).

Region I
3 - Midland Greenwood (7-0)
5 - Dalhart (7-0)
8 - Decatur (7-0)

Region II
9 - Celina (7-0)
11 - Dallas Madison (6-0)
15 - Gilmer (7-0)

Region III
17 - China Spring (7-0)
21 - West Orange-Stark (7-0)
23 - Giddings (7-0)

Region IV
28 - Hondo (7-0)
28 - Devine (8-0)
29 - Cuero (8-0)
30 - Orange Grove (7-0)
32 - Rio Hondo (8-0)

Counting the other 4 classifications there are 66 unbeaten/untied teams statewide:

5A has 14 - Southlake Carroll, Euless Trinity, Cedar Hill, Katy, El Paso Coronado, Spring Westfield,North Shore, Lufkin, Smithson Valley, Coppell, PSJA North, Cedar Park, Katy Cinco Ranch, Los Fresnos

Good info. One good game coming up on the horizon will be Devine and Hondo. They both should be undeafeated going into this game.

I wonder if Barbers Hill would have stayed 3A how far they would have pushed in the 3A playoffs. Even in 4A they are stilling getting it done.

I know the answer to that... They'd lose to Kirbyville again. It was turning into an annual tradition for the Wildcats to kick them out of the playoffs. ;)

Snowblind Fighting Igloos (7-0), Frozen Lake Polar Bears (7-0), and the Frozen Nuts Fighting Eskimos are the only unbeatens left. All 4 other teams in the state have lost.

Ha ha ha.... very funny :evillol:

But since you asked:

#1 ranked Anchorage South beat #2 ranked Palmer Colony 26-16 last night to win the large school State Championship and remain the only undefeated team in the state of Alaska with an 11-0 record. Football season is now over for Alaska as their season usually goes from July thru October due to the low temperatures and lack of daylight in the winter.
