Spoon Horn- Burkburnett QB- 155 yrds rushing 2 TD's- 86 yrds passing 1 TD

Lead his team to a 4th quarter comeback down 2 TD's to Vernon. Won it in OT with a FG. Horn did all of this WITHOUT the aid of his star running back Nate Brown. That's my nomination.

Just curious, are we allowing a player to win POTW that has already won in a previous week?? ie: Brandon Cobb

Is there a reason we wouldn't?

Not really...or..... maybe to give others the chance to receive the much coveted "3Adownlow POTW Certificate?":D

That way we can take all of the nominees from the season and use them to determine the 3ADownlow.com Player of the Year. Then again, this is Injured's baby so ask him. It certainly would be hard to deny Cobb. He had another great week.

not the toughest opponent, but saw in the paper where the Roberson kid from Monahans had 4 tds on 7 carries for like 130 yards. all 4 tds were in the 1st quarter according to midland newspaper.

disagree - if a player deserves to win it twice, three times, whatever - then so be it

IMO

I know this is kinda me being a homer on this one, but I agree, if you are the player of the week, then you are the player of the week.

i say if they have the stats then its hard to keep em from winning it more than once. Of course if we get down the road and it looks like its alot of homerization we will adjust it then.

since the critisim in the past has been the Decatur Offense exploding against poor defenses... this week was done against #17 in the state Sanger... Might silence the anti-decatur mob out there..

QB from Burk. I read about his performance in Wichita Falls' newspaper. Very impressive indeed.
