Forney rolled from the start with four touchdown drives in the first 13 minutes at Sprague Stadium. The win kept Forney (5-1, 2-0) undefeated in District 13-3A, while Pinkston fell to 0-6, 0-3.
Forney's first four touchdown drives took two plays apiece and combined to total only 76 yards and 3:01 off the clock. Senior quarterback Caleb Hanie hit tight end Tyler Johnson twice on crossing patterns for touchdowns on his only passing attempts. In between the scoring tosses, Baylen Laury scored the first of his three touchdowns from 2 yards out.
Following a Pinkston safety for intentional grounding in the end zone, Willie Erwin ran the ensuing free kick back 57 yards for a touchdown and a 31-0 Forney lead 14 seconds into the second quarter. By the end of the half, Forney's offense had run 15 plays for 139 yards and scored five touchdowns in 7:50.
