right, Hirschi really isn't very good. Couldn't move the ball against IP. Should have been a shut out if it weren't for an INT return for a TD it would have been.

Interesting tidbit here, Nate Brown the star running back from Burkburnett did not play in the game tonight. No reason as to why was given.

I wonder why he didnt play.....he either must of done something really bad, or must be really hurt to of missed THIS game.

I know that he didn't leave the game against IP last week with an injury. That doesn't mean he wasn't injured in the game it just means he didn't come off the field.

never know, he could of been hurt during the week aswell. This does make the Vernon/IP game more interesting to say the least. Its all down hill for Burk now.

I heard that he had an appendix attack. Not sure if this is true. He was at the game in street clothes.

Vernon had this game early and should have put it away. Went out on 4 downs inside the 5 yardline of Burk on one series. That was a big let down. In the second half Burk just caught up with us. Their QB had a monster day over 200 yards rushing most in the second half. Our defense was just worn down. They have a good team and they wanted the win. Those guys never gave up and just kept fighting.

There may have only been two punts in this game between the two teams.

Vernon played a good game had some very nice offensive calls tonight. Very good coaching. We threw the ball well and played about as good of a game as could have been played. (We did have some penality problems throughout). Vernon played very well just got beat by that much. Burk also played well and it was a good game. Congrats go out to the Bulldogs on a well played game.

A tough loss for the Lions.
