That happened to my wife and I when we were in New Orleans on a trip I won off the radio. We were staying at the Montelone in the French Quarter and our room was on about the 7th or 8th floor. About 1:00 am the fire alarm goes off. We proceed down the hall and down the stairs and stand in an alley for 10 or 15 minutes until some hotel employee came around to tell us it was a false alarm. Apparently, there was a wedding reception in one of the Ball rooms there and a drunk guest thought pulling the fire alarm would be "funny".

It's funny now, though. :D

From a guy who knows that fire fighters have died while driving to this "prank", it is not so funny.

wow...this has been my last 9 hours...

went to bed around 12:30am...
got woken up around 3:30am...
stood outside until about 4:15am...
didn't fall back asleep until around 5:00am...
alarm went off at 7:00am for 8:00am class...
got out of bed around 7:55am...
got to class around 8:10am.....
just got some breakfast...

:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: at a dorm in SFA the fire alarm was pulled at 230 and 500 on back to back nights along with several occurenes during the day. It has prolly went off in the middle of the night 4 times since the semester started needless to say there were some angry people.

I'd be pissed too. Fire Alarm used to go off at UT Dallas usually about 30 minutes BEFORE I wanted to wake up. It sucked.
