As you have seen, McCoy plays QB on the safe side. UT needs John Chiles to come in and be the next big playmaker. UT will open the position to the best player (Brantley included) next year again. Chiles is a stud!:D

*aggie cap off as much as it can be*

honestly, burnt orange is a horrible color, there's nothing God'fearing about the color......I mean you don't see orange at all in the pro's as a main color.....

Best colors out there in college football.....auburn

I think he does. Whatcha wanna bet its a "me me me" problem that stems from having way to much emphasis on him in the Mansfield community?

whatashame.....a grown ass man, and a fellow Ag, talking about colors in football. disgusting. anyway, this chiles kid is a helluvan athlete, but his arm doesn't look anything like that of a QB at a major D-I program...and then VY pops into my head. Yikes!

Id be very suprised to see him play QB. I think Texas can Teddy Ginn this kid. Move him around, wide out, slot etc...

He's been spotted throwing up the horns side after TD's and on the sidelines.

I read on a recruiting site that Chiles has had attitude problems this year & his team is awful? Any truth to that?

Chiles is an athlete, no doubt. I don't think he plays QB in Austin.

Hell one player don't make a team. ;)

Of course not - I was asking about attitude issues. Any truth to that? I am well aware it is 11 vs. 11 Tiger WR.

Part of being a leader is dealing with adversity. From what I have read, he has not done well in that area. What have you heard?

Old Tiger

If his team is losing I'm sure his attitude has to do with that. I wouldn't like losing one bit especially if you are as gifted as he is.

What I'm saying is all speculation.

Sure maturity is part of it. But, alienating yourself & cussing teammates, throwing your helmet, etc. is no way to inspire better play (as I have read he has done). A leader esp. at the QB position picks everyone up around him. Absolutely no doubt he is talented & wants to win.

Just saw John and his family interviewed on High School Sports Extra here in the DFW area. He is a solid Horn. No way anyone talks him out of being with us in the fall. He said that he has been recruited as a QB and expects to play there, but I get the feel that he just wants to be on the team and would do whatever to get on the field.

I think he was sat our one game for slamming his helmet down. KTJ might know the story better.

I am not condemning him - probably heat of the moment & I sure don't know the kid either. But it does sound like he will need to grow up some. But who doesn't at age 18!

I am sure he will be a good one - but probably not at QB. An athlete like him will get on the field somewhere soon though.

Old Tiger

Yea it was probably a heat of the moment deal and something he probably regrets doing now.
