The better question, if you go watch and listen to that link, is what didn't that moron say? How in the world did someone that retarded ever get a job in broadcasting? He was up there cheering the Canes on and wanting them to take it further than they did. I've never heard a broadcaster stoop so low. The guy is a complete tool, but he fits in perfectly with the rest of his university.

My money says he doesn't keep his job.

it's amazing that he was hired in the first place. He has a pretty good rap sheet littered with various assault and battery charges.

He was just being outspoken. Now we cannot judge him because he was peeved by the fisticuffs. It is a bit politically correct to fire him because of his undying support of his fellow chaps on the gridiron.

SARC button now off.

What a doofass.

He deserves to lose his job. His comments were immature and barbaric. Ive never even heard fight commentators talk like that.

It was Lamar Thomas. Some of the younger folks on here might not remember this, but here's Lamar in action as a Hurricane. He wasn't "ready" for George Teague on this play in the 1993 National Championship game in the Sugar Bowl!

I guess his producers are saying "You aren't gonna do this in our house".

Lamar Thomas is an idiot. Always has been, always will be.

Lamar Thomas deserves to be fired. I heard it today & it is something else. He was a thug when he played WR & still is evidently. He was advocating fighting & defending the "O.B.". Thug U at work. Coker has lost that team. 3 fights in their last 7 games (LSU, Louisville, & FIU). Altercations off the field too.

Michael Irvin even blasted him on the radio. That says it all.

Just heard it on the radio - Lamar Thomas was FIRED today for his comments on the brawl by the radio station in Florida.

Good for them. Have fun getting another radio gig Lamar!

His Rap Sheet:

-Arrested and jailed for aggravated battery for attacking his pregnant fiancee with a deadly weapon.

• Arrested for violating probation.

• Detained for brandishing a handgun and threatening suicide, prompting authorities to check him in to a mental institution.

• Did jail time for again violating probation related to the battery charges, when he was arrested for choking
his fiancee. His six-month old son was present at the scene.

That is the first time I had seen that clip and I think it is just plain sick. Apparently they don't screen well known individuals. I am pretty sure this isn't the first time Lamar Thomas has made comments like this, it just probably wasn't on air.

1st or 2d play after they had managed to resume the game a Miami player, after the whistle had blown, pushed a FIU player. The refs clearly were going to send a message so they flagged the act. Thomas went off on the officials for the "weak call." He said " I hit my kids harder than that." Good riddance.
