Did I hear correctly - that Wharton not only won but shut Edna out? Give me some details. I wasn't expecting this.

Wharton contained Edna's superstud QB. Edna punted only one time, but they went for it on 4th down several times (unsuccessfully), from what I heard. I was also told that the score could have been much worse, as a few TD passes were dropped. When Edna couldn't run, they had to throw, and they didn't do that well at all (a few INTs were made).

ouch, four turnovers. that can't be good. also, it looks like wharton won the battle of field position. big plays maybe? wharton only had 7 first downs and was outgained 215-265 total yards, but more importantly outrushed 115-231. at least it sounds to me like wharton kept the ball on the edna side of the field.

Wharton could have scored alot more the offense had an off night. But a wins a win and will take it. 4 deep balls were dropped. And Washington was hurt and still ran well.
A int. returned for a td was called back to for unsportsmanlike con.
But the defense played well and made the stops when they needed them.
Great Job 11 and 25. :)
