Atlanta's boys rode superior depth to edge out Gainesville and Forney to take the state track tittle home for the boys....the Runnin Rabbs other strong competiton Abilene Wylie was hampered by an injury to John Lampert who injured himself in winning the Long Jump...winning for Atlanta was Bo Price in the 3200M run, and their 4x400 relay also won..they got a 7th place finish in the High Jump, 7th in the triple jump, 3rd in the 800 meter run, 2nd in the 400M run, 2nd in the 1600m run to give them plenty of points...on the girls side Wilmer-Hutchins held off one woman show Ychindria Spears of Luling by 2 points to take 10-3A's second straight girls track tittle..Spears won the Long Jump, Triple Jump, both for the 4th straight year..she placed 2nd in the 100 and won the 200...but those 48 points were just short of Wilmer-Hutchins who got 50 points..Hutch was led by victories in the 100 by Lisa Wilson a second place finish in the 4x100, a first place finish in the 4x200, a 4th place finish in the 300 Hurdles to get the win..
