The three longest active district winning streaks going in to last night's games among 3A teams were Sinton with 31 consecutive district wins dating back to 2000, Gilmer with 24 dating back to 2000 and Gainesville with 17 consecutive wins dating back to 2002.
Amazingly both Sinton and Gainesville lost last night.....
The current longest district game winning streaks among current 3A teams are:
1. Gilmer 25 - last district loss to Tatum 6-14 week 9 2000
2. Cuero 17 - last district loss to Gonzales 11-41 week 9 2002
3(t). West Orange-Stark 16 - last district loss to Beaumont Central 14-16 week 7 2003
3(t). Zapata 16 - last district loss to Bishop 6-7 week 8 2002
5. Celina 15 - last district loss to Gainesville 14-44 week 8 2003
the only other teams currently with 10 or more consecutive district wins are Devine with 11 and Lubbock Cooper with 10
