Edna is 2A. The only team standing between Gonzales and a playoff berth is Palacios. This is a 5 team district. It looks good for Cuero going DII as the Apache's are coming off some injuries and should get stronger.

This makes the DII playoff picture very interesting in Region IV.You have to give the Gobblers the inside poll position to sweep the regionals. What comes from DIII will be most interesting.:)

Gonzales can now go 1-2 in the last three Distric games and they are in.

I know they're not the team they were last year, but they are still a very good team. That's a game I hope to make...

Good point. The Texans will make their stand and it will be a great game. R-IV is still very competetive. Heck, Hondo is just swimming under the surface waiting to strike. We'll have fun watching it all sort out in the coming weeks, then it will be January and ho-hum.

I hear that, lol. Football season goes by so fast. Rio Hondo is another Region IV team that has caught my attention.

BTW, Congrats to your Leopards on a good game tonight, and for the great season you guys are having. It's good to see yall back on the right track...

This win will no doubt put Cuero in Division 2. We will always wonder who would have won if they had met Gilmer. Oh well.

Gilmer and Cuero may have wondered that.....I have never given it a second thought personally. :)

Are you talking about Gilmer? Gilmer is in a 6-team district and is the largest school in District 15-3A. Next realignment, should we draw the same teams, Gilmer will be the largest school by a wide margin because enrollment is growing. It's well above 700 now.
