I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Madison will be in the top 15 or so by the end of the season. It's understandable that they aren't in it right now after last season's regular season record. The new coach from Lincoln though has a lot of talent to work with this season and has a few new additions to the roster that might be enough to push Roosevelt to 2nd place in the district.

I still dont understand how La Vega is in front of Fairfield..La Vega lost like everyone....Fairfield is probably about where they should be ight if it werent for injuries and people moving last year they would be a lot higher

I was looking for this earlier this week...I guess I was a little early. Glad to see that Wylie is establishing a "basketball tradition" as well! :)

Also glad to see Wylie up there in the polls ... not sure how close Wylie will be able to live up to that #5 ... gonna be though with some really good players graduating last year ...

but, Coach Perkins will have his boys out there and ready to play no matter who it is ... hhmm ... sounds pretty similar to that Coach Sandifer guy ...

ill have to look at my reigions again since realignment but my early predictions for state are Burkburnett, Pittsburg, Fairfield, and region IV well it doesnt matter they will get beat 20 in the first game of the state tournament

well if ur like us ff boys basketball season has began bc our football team sux but i like where ff is maybe we would be higher if we make a damn free throw...asa

Stafford from the Houston area will win State. They went to the finals last year and they will do it again!

I thought they got beat by LH right before making it to Austin, they were a senior heavy team last year.

We actually lost to CC West Oso the first round at the regional tourney.

there has to be a dlow rule about basketball on the week most teams start their district races in football.

Stafford lost in the State Semis. They do have some talent returning too. Fort Bend has rezoned & now Stafford gets more athletes. Used to be horrible! Still terrible in football though.

Roosevelts bringing back the house from the state championship. So they will be tough but hopefully FF can make the run. It says hoops in the thread so if you dont want to read about basketball then dont open it.

it is THUMP THUMP. should count as a sport right after baseball....which is less important than AIR HOCKEY :)

i think the dub might have somthing to say about that...bc didnt we oh yea we beat them...twice without flannel, yes hes good at bball 2...the roughnecks should be tough this year if every1 stays healty through football...with the twins flannel the big man downl low and idk who points is gonna be...look for these guys to play tough

The term "thump thump" has been used by football coaches for a long time. And BASEBALL is a great sport. You don't think a SS or CF is an athlete? How about hand/eye coordination? Baseball is like golf in that it requires tremendous skill, & you have to use your brain too. Try hitting a round ball with a round bat & hitting it squarely - against a pitcher trying to get you out, with about .2 or .3 seconds reaction time. No need to bash it. It has often been said that those who knock baseball either 1) could not play it or 2) do not understand the game.

Plus I got to play it in college! I played the big 3 in hs & love them all. Just my 2 cents!
