My alma mater Freer won the State Class 3A State Baseball Championship in 1990. This was after Sinton had won it two straight years. The head coach at the top left is head Coach John Anderson who coached at his alma mater for many years. He graduated from there one year after me in 1968 and was an outstanding student and good athlete in football and baseball.

Unfortunately no Ad because of my job at the time. I did make Sinton's games in 2002 and 2003 though.

This is a photo of Freer's 1994 State Championship team in 2A Volleyball. In the front role left to right are Lori Bednorz and Celina Blanton. Lori is the daughter of my good friend and neighbor John Bednorz. Celina is the daughter of Mr. Blanton who was my eighth grade history teacher and a fine man who taught for many years in Freer. I think he is retired now along with his wife Belia who taught English there for many years. In the top rolll wearing no. 21 is Amy Ford a great player whose father was an assistant and later head coach at Freer for a while.
One of the assistant coaches on top left is Cindy Freeman who is married to my good friend Buddy Freeman. They had a son and daughter that were good athletes for Freer. The head coach at top right is Coach Fran Adami who coached for many years at Freer before moving to a bigger school in Laredo a few years ago. I think she was originally from Cotula and we were fortunate to have her in Freer.

Unfortunately due to long hours employment at the time I never got to see these teams played once. I didn't have my priorities in order then much to my sorrow. :(
