Region II Game of the Week (6): Brownsboro @ Van

The Brownsboro Bears will travel to Van to take on the Vandals in this district 14 game. Van, projected by DCTF to win the district, has a record of 4-1, with their loss coming to 4A Lindale, 31-7. Brownsboro was projected to take second in district and has losses to 4A Jacksonville (7-17) and Palestine Westwood (20-33).

I'll take the Vandals by 2 TD's. Van beat them in Brownsboro last year. This year the Vandals are a better team than they were last year.

A note about Brownsboro's losses, they were without 4 starters who were suspended until their last game (a win over Rains). These starters included their starting TB and an all-state DB/WR. They are at full strength now and are a very good fb team. Don't forget 3A State Champ Tatum only beat them by 1 point in the playoffs last year.

This is the first district game for both teams and this one could be for the district 14 championship.
