George West wins game, loses wallets, cell phones

George West football players discovered their wallets and cell phones missing from the visitor locker room at Skidmore-Tynan High School after Friday night's 41-14 victory over the Bobcats.





"Somebody broke into the dressing room during the second half," first-year George West Coach Gary Davenport said. Between 15 and 20 athletes reported stolen items to the Bee County Sheriff's Department. An investigation is ongoing, Sgt. Ronnie Jones said.

So how secured is the visting locker rooms is there a security guard or someone looking over the locker rooms?

Note to self: If Ingleside ever plays in Skidmore-Tynan don't take anything valuable.

that happened to me once in Lodge Grass Montana back in the Bronze Age. but I think it was one of the JV's. and whoever did it didn't get enough money for squad, and cell phones weren't invented even thought of yet

Usually in Skidmore, you just get robbed ON the field. Now it's OFF the field too?

as freshmen we needed a game in '97 and so did S-T's JV/Varsity mix... we went down there and beat 'em 18-16... we didn't get robbed...

This surprises me, Skidmore is just a big bunch of corn-fed kids...must have had a thug or two move in. Very unfortunate, but seriously not the mentality of the community at large.:(

:eek: wow!! This is sad. APPF is right - how embarrassing for your community. It only takes one idiot. :rolleyes:

Not saying that anyone should judge an entire community based on the actions of one or two thugs, but it happens. ;)
