Gilmer 5-0
Spring Hill 2-3
Gladewater 1-4
Mineola 1-4
White Oak 1-4
Sabine 0-5

that's sad:( can anyone's district compete with this? Gilmer has as many wins as all the rest combined:doh:

31-3A
Raymondville 3-3
Lyford 2-3
Zapata 2-4
Falfurrias 2-4
San Diego 0-6

That's 9-20 if you're keeping score at home:eek:

What's up with that? Did Gilmer recruit all the athletes from these teams??? Just Kidding. Things like this depends on a lot of things like strength of schedule and quality of athletes at the time.

Gilmer should be a final four team from what I've heard.

Cuero 6-0

Palacios 2-4

I'll have to dig up the specs later but I'm thinkin 2-3a is pretty down right now.

Is that possible? I thought at least one team has to win a game. lol

I think there are only 4 teams and they haven't played a district game yet. Lubbock Cooper is 1-4, can't remember Brownfield, Levelland have won yet or not. Seminole has won a few. In this district, you can go 1-9 and make the playoffs.

Cooper 1-4 beat Lovington NM. I am surprised at the Pirate's record; I really thought they would be doing a lot better than this. They are big on both lines, and have 2 darn good running backs, and good linebackers.

Brownfiedl 1-4 beat Lubbock Roosevelt. No surprise here, the Cubs are down.

Seminole 4-1 only loss to Canyon. They have beat Andrews, Denver City, Ft Stockton, and Lamesa. They're a pretty decent team.

Levelland 1-4 beat Denver City. Lobos are just not a football town, I guess. Might beat Borger next week; who knows? Should beat Brownfield and make the playoffs in this 4-team district with a record of 3-7 or 2-8.

combined record is 7-13.

In theory, the current district is stronger than the one Gilmer was in during 2002 and 2003. As I recall, the other teams in 11-3A were Lindale, Mineola, Winnsboro, Mount Vernon and Rains.

Lindale was the only school which even belonged on the same field with the Buckeye teams of those two seasons. Actually, in 2003, Gilmer beat Lindale, 45-0, at Lindale, so it was only true of one of the two years.

The "conspiracy theorists" shouldn't wonder about whether Gilmer recruits or not. They should instead wonder how we draw such weak districts every two years.
