What is the state record for consecutive wins, and how close is Southlake to it. I remember Celina for like a four year stretch, maybe 60 wins or so. Does anyone know? I was surprised by the score with Colleyville Heritage. I thought they might give the small college team from SLC a decent game. Guess not.

Celina is up in the 60's I believe...

I think SLC may be tied with Sealy at 35 consec now... forget who else but the top three is Celina with 60+, Abilene at 50, Cuero at 44 and someone else in there...

Mart is up there on a streak of their own... which was ended by Celina in a State Championship game... I believe Quan and Quizz Cosby (i think his name is Quizz) were the leaders of those Mart teams.

no Mart... they didn't win consec titles or anything

68--Celina, 1998-2002
49--Abilene, 1954-57
44--Cuero, 1973-75
41--Hull-Daisetta, 1935-39
39--Lufkin Dunbar, 1966-68
35--Austin Reagan, 1967-69
35--Stamford, 1954-57
35--Sealy, 1994-96
34--Pflugerville, 1960-62
34--Southlake Carroll, 2004-Present
33--Royse City, 1955-58
33--Valley Mills, 1950-52

maybe A-High is just 49, always thought it was 50

What's the likelihood of SLC catching or surpassing Celina? That may be the most difficult record to break, but if any school can do it, it would be SLC. They are like a factory over there. Any opinions?

They just might... its very very possible

I think there should be a rule, that when a team goes to break another's winning streak, they must play that team to break it... the team they were supposed to play is credited with a win...

that would kinda get messy though with teams getting screwed so nevermind...

actually, if it is district, no one gets a district win... the other team gets the week off... rule void in playoffs...

Wow you are a youngster huh?

Daingerfield beat them when they missed an extra point for their fist loss in 3a the last time they moved up. BTW that was game 12 in their 2002 season, that included a huge win against Gainesville, who was a great team at the time.
