Bellville will travel to the snake pit, will Bellville win its first district game or will the Rattlers bit the Bull? Look for Bellvilles 1st teamers to play a whole game this week.

Can anyone tell us about the rattlers?

They beat Hempstead in game two 27-20 and Cleveland 34-3 in game four with losses to Madisonville, Hearne and Coldspring. From others on this board who have followed the Rattlers, they are down this year from past power teams. They have had some injury problems which may resolve in district play. The snake pit is an advantage they say. I don't think Bellville will have a problem with the Rattlers this game. Bellville by 17.

I've seen the Rattlers play.

If Bellville holds onto the ball (no turnovers) they win by a bunch.

Navasota has a good running back.

As usual, KL3 knows the particulars. The fair may distract the Brahmas, I certainly hope the coaching staff remembers "the old days" and makes those 10:00PM calls to players' houses Thursday night. Otherwise, it could be a tough night on Friday. Remember, Brahmas, you have a record to uphold and this Mom expects you to do it. That said, I pick the Bulls by 14. Go Brahmas!!!

In my opinion, Fair Week costs Bellville 10-14 points. This game may be closer than most expect.

That's one problem with having fair later in year. Can't get that bye week in middle of district. Coach West in Brenham always schedules his bye week during Washington Co Fair (predistrict) to avoid the distractions.

I saw in the paper that Bellville is only giving up 2.9 yards/carry and 525 rushing yards total on defense, which is really, really good. Not sure how that pertains to this game, but hopefully that trend will continue throughout district (Giddings). I'm curious to see if Bellville will continue to work in the pass a little more tonight like they did last week.

Bellville22, I won't be at the game. I will most likely be at a friends house, you may know him, his name is Taylor, before heading up to the furr. Give me a call.

Bellville wins 49-14. You win a free ice cream cone from DQ. :D

RB Abbs rushed for 187 yds on 21 attempts, including a 40 yd TD run to start the scoring for Bellville. He finished with 2 rushing TD's and also caught a 24 yd pass for another score.

Just a few notes.....

It looks like LB Pawlowski had a good game with 7 tackles and 2 sacks as did DT Canchola with 7 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and a sack.

Bellville had 4 different players with a catch, and 11 different players with a rushing attempt.

Bellville's D held Navasota's leading rusher to 42 yards on 12 carries & their QB was 5/21 passing.
