Gilmer's Jamell Kennedy Verbally Commits to SMU

Gilmer senior Jamell Kennedy has given his verbal commitment to SMU.

Kennedy, a former quarterback, now playing wide receiver, chose SMU over UTEP, Rice, Tulsa, Wyoming, Arkansas State, among others.

Kennedy is 5-10, 165 runs a 4.4 40...

Jamell is not only a tremendous athlete, but also a good student with a 3.3. GPA---and even a better young man.

The Mustangs are getting a real winner with that young man. He was pumped and ready for his senior year at the helm of the Buckeye offense and gracefully stepped back to a lesser role when GJ arrived. That took character beyond the years of most 17 year old kids.:clap:
