I believe that every State Championship team in the history of Texas football was carried there by the offensive line. They are hands down the least appreciated and most critical players on any football team. They are also the most intelligent, having to know the entire offensive set and incorporate this information in audible calls at the line of scrimmage. It all starts in the first 5 seconds on offense provided courtesy of the O line. Lets hear a shout out for the big men!:D

Agreed. The offensive line are the unsung hereos of football.

SHOUT OUT!!!!

The Wylie team that won state in 04 the Oline was a group of good hard working tough kids! At least 4 of them are playing college ball.

How many former OL's are on the board?

On offense, I flipped from OG to TB to FB depending on which way the wind was blowing. I didn't play much on the line, but I was there for a while in junior high and on JV.

I was a TE at one point. Jason was to, but the one time they threw to him he fumbled

I started at RG my junior year and at C my senior year, and center is a whole new ball game, way harder than guard.

I was an offensive tackle on a 5a team in CA in 1964.
I weighed 190 lbs. In those days the average O lineman was a lot smaller. In college a 250lb O lineman was a DI recruit [if he knew what the count was.] Times have changed, and thanks to better prenatal care (not smoking), antibiotics and nutrition our boys are growing bigger. (i'm not going into human growth hormone and steroids here).

I played right tackle on offense and left tackle on defense. I started on offense as a sophomore and then played both ways as a junior and senior.
