There was a power outage in bryan/college station this afternoon. It happened around 5 pm. Many places are still without power including some parts of the A&M campus, dorms as well. Poor BBDE, im guessing he was affected, lol. It was said that over 60,000 people were affected.

one of my friends called me at 8:30 and said she was sittin on campus in the dark lol.. my first thought was "wonder if they are still gunna do silver taps" heck they turn all the lights off on campus for silver taps anyway lol

Yep, I sat in the dark for around 6 or 7 hours last night, not being able to study for a test. I was pissed.

Of course....I emailed the professor and he told me that as far as he knew, the test still remained to be taken tonight. *sigh*

Speaking of Red Raiders they did put the lights out of the Aggie football team.

probably not...although it wouldnt hurt me...if TECH was the team that started the aggie 100 game losing streak :)

I missed it -- we were playing in Belton and the lights were back on when we got back to B/CS.

Yeah I was in the middle of a movie when the power went out! It's called Facing The Giants. Its about high school football. I'll let yall know how it is once i redeem my raincheck.

Yea we were trying to watch a movie when it happened, i was pissed. I just went to a buddies who had a big lamp and we played poker and partied all night. school sucked this morning because of it.

It was so hot. There was no wind blowing either when I opened my windows. But it gave me a great reason to start up the grill and sit around outside and it got me out of my evening classes so I am ok with it.
