St. Thomas lost 38-31 to 4A Santa Fe, a team that Needville beat by a TD. Bellville wins this game, but I look for St. Thomas to test Bellville's pass defense.

I have a good friend that coaches for St. Thomas and he tells me they don't pass quite as much with the new coach. But like Bulls-eye said I suspect they will test our secondary. They have really struggled this year, moreso on defense. Their best player is a Jr. and has been out with an injury the last 2 weeks. There is a decent chance he could play this week.

After watching some Bellville film, he described #5 Harris as having Reggie Bush type moves, and was really impressed with #33 Abbs at RB and DE. He couldn't believe he was a Jr.

Bellville will win this one big.

Looking forward to District next week. Should be hard fought all the way through. Bellville, giddings, La Grange and Caldwell all strong.
What has Navasota and Smithville done this year so far? I haven't heard anything.

I think Navasota could make some noise in this district. Apparently they were hit pretty hard by the injury bug, but have had everyone healthy the last 2 weeks and have looked much better.

In their game against Santa Fe they were 20-28-357 passing the ball. In earlier games, they attempted 41 passes vs Epicopal and 26 passes vs Chavez. Your good friend may be trying to pull the wool over our eyes. :D They also have a very good kicker who has made a 49 yd FG. (Wharton would love him)
