Its a classic tale of two teams.

They play ok at home but still need a lot growing up to do away.

I wish we would've scheduled this game about two years ago.

The Hawks are very young and are still working out the kinks this season.

nah West Oso isn't even in our district anymore. That might be from last year.

Zapata will still win district or at the very worst still make the playoffs.

So you had a senior club last year? PI has several of sopho starting right now too, ( I think, I last counted 4, but as last week they moved up 1 more, a LB) but we do have some seniors as well. It's mainly a mixture from SOPH and Seniors and a hand full of real good Juniors.

Zapata already played West Oso this season. On Sep. 8, The "Howling Bear" defeated Zapata 14-7. West Oso hosts San Diego this Friday night. Zapata hosts Port Isabel this week.

Zapata doesn't have a for sure district title this season...Raymondville is gonna to make sure of that. With the way the 31-3A is playing I see, in no particular order, Lyford, Raymondville and Zapata in the playoffs...but I could be wrong.

3rd qtr - PI - Nunez 14 (Ramirez kick) 7:34
PI Ramirez 28 yard FG :00

Penalites, were a little problem this week, however, several were quesitonable calls. Defense had another great game, offense was balanced (with 144 yards passing) and saw plenty of backs running the ball. It will be hard to key on any one RB, expecially with the speed they have. :) I agree with Tarp73, back ups are no longer playing like back ups. This has also allowed Ralph to have fresher legs, as that LB soph Alaniz is playing good, boy he is fast.
