Both teams suffered their first losses last week. Hutto lost to Giddings, 14-29 and Caldwell lost to Robinson 6-18. Who will rebound this week?

Hutto should win this one, but I'm rooting for Caldwell because they make great Kolaches! :D Good luck to our district 23-3A companions.

Caldwell plays great defense. Hutto has a dynamic offense and a good defense. I think the Hippos pull this out in a low scoring game by a td.

Hutto by at least 14.

If Caldwell wins this one they will make a believer out of me. But I have a feeling I will not be a believer this year.

Hutto is one of the best in state.

I think that Caldwell's defense can shut down the Hippos. We shall see.

Caldwell has had some good athletes the last few years, especially at WR. I am not sure what they have this year, but Hutto needs to play much better than they did against Giddings to beat a team as good as Caldwell. 100 yards in penalties and 6 fumbles and an interception makes it tough to beat any team.

I have to say I really have been impressed with the Hippos. I first noticed them in 2001 when they made the playoffs in 2a. Who are these Hippos? Next year they were 3a and the Leps played them. They played tough football, improving from 2002 to 2003. They have cool colors and a great stadium. The community is exploding and the school reflects a robust enthusiasm. Good luck Hutto Hippos!:D

Hutto was one of my favorite teams to follow in last year's playoffs. They have great fans that show their team lots of support. They make plenty of noise with their hippo horns and the "shaker" helmets. Very similar to LG fans.

Pudlugger, does La Grange still have those shakers? Last game I watched was a playoff game in 2002 vs Marlin. LG fans were making lots of noise with those shakers.

If the Leps make the playoffs the shakers will come out of storage!:D

They don't use them during the regular season? What's the history and when did they start using them?

Normally noise makers appear during the play offs. I don't know why but that is what I have observed.

TALK ABOUT PLAYOFF NOISEMAKERS. WHEN THEY HAD'EM AT THE PLAYOFF SERIES IN BASEBALL LAST YEAR WITH THE BRAHMAS,THOSE SHAKERS COULD BE HEARD A MILE AWAY,,VERY ANNOYING FOR THE BELLVILLITES, BUT HAPPILY SHAKEN BY THE PROUD LEPS

Where are all of the Caldwell Fan's? All I heard before was how Caldwell was going deep in the playoffs and they were going to beat Hutto and Giddings. Were are these same fans? Are they going to support their team?? Or have they given up on them after one loss??

If you think noise makers only appear during playoffs, go to any Liberty Hill Game.
I can't hear for a day afer, and my voice is shot all though the entire season.
Try making more noise the LHPANTHERMOM,it's hard to do, lol

Robinson lost to Celina 42-14.

If caldwell wins, which they won't, then Celina would look pretty good, wouldn't they?

Although, unless Hutto wins by a decent margin, it will help Celina in the strength-of-schedule department.
