Speaking of Anthony.....when we were coming home from Wimberley Friday night, my mother asked if there were any stations with scores. It's rare that I've been able to pick any up, especially around there, but I tried. We managed to find a station giving scores....apparently a West Texas station because they gave the Anthony score, among other West Texas teams. :)

i'm no help in region 2. lots of byes and no games in east texas that jump out. maybe there is a good region 2 game in dallas area.

That Wylie @ Wimberley game is a cross regional game between R-I & R-IV, but should somehow be a mandatory pick for the pick em game this week. Why dont we make it the mandatory wild card game??? That would be fun!

Well, obviously I am biased, but it seems pretty clear to me that the best match-up between two teams ranked high in the polls is:

Abilene-Wylie vs. Wimberley

If there is a lower ranking combination (based on the AP poll coming out this week), I want to know!

In region III I think Taylor (3-2) @ Gatesville (3-1) should be a pretty good game. I did a broadcast between the two schools about 5 years ago during the playoffs and it was a pretty intense game start to finish. Gatesville rebounded pretty nicely from that Liberty Hill debacle and beat up on Lampasas pretty badly on homecoming and won 41-6. Could've been worse, but Coach Morgan never will run up the score no matter how tempting it is and believe you me it sure was tempting to do it to one of Gatesville's old rivals.
