I just caught the last few minutes of this game on the radio. The Leopards finally scored late in the game to avoid the shutout. Of course, QB Will Middlebrooks was out and so was LaMichael James and several others.
LE had only one first down, and that by penalty, by late in the third quarter. Mount Pleasant is apparently improved over previous seasons.
The only inadvisable comment I heard was the third man in the booth who was looking down the road to bi-district with confidence, saying "Gilmer hasn't played anybody yet."
We used to hear this all the time during the state championship run of 2004. Just keep on saying that. It is music to the Buckeyes' ears.
