Major League Baseball recently held a coin toss to determine the site of a potential National League Central tie-breaking game. In the event of a tie between the Astros and Cardinals for the NL Central Championship, a one-game playoff would be held at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday, Oct. 3. In order for such a tie-breaker to be necessary, a make-up of the Sept. 17 game between the Cardinals and San Francisco Giants would first have to be played on Monday, Oct. 2.
