Cuero RB first non-QB to win award

His effort on the ground in one of the biggest games statewide last season won't go unnoticed statewide, as Cuero RB Fabian Olguin is the player of the Week.

Olguin rushed it 20 times for 148 yards and 2 TDs in a 31-27 win over Liberty Hill to get nominated for the award.

This week's award marked the closest margin of victory yet. Olguin picked up 47 percent of reader votes, while Boyd QB Cody Ogle earned 42 percent.
