FSSW I think, I looked earlier and they were showing dudes hitting these big balls over this tall net, all done while in the sand, what in the hell were they doing that for?

Guess they'll take those crazy guys off when the game starts...

I'll bet MLB waits as long as they possibly can to get this game in today. At least they should.

actually when Roger started pitching it was the last time they were above .500 (or at) until just recently... so he came on and we started skidding...

If the bullpen had been solid as usual this year instead of blowing leads about once a week, the Astros would be setting up their playoff rotation right now. But they can't seem to do anything easy. They have to have their backs to the wall.

Astros are 4 back in theWild Card but only 1-1/2 back in the NL Central with 4 games left. So it's division title or tee times at this point.

Cards have Marquis pitching - 14-15 ERA about 6. Doug Davis for the Brewers. His last few starts have been good, but that's just from memory.

610 sports radio in Houston had short blurb from Preston Wilson in press conference after last night's Cardinal game.
He said pressure still on Astros since they are still behind even though only 1/2 game.
I disagree. Cards can spin it anyway they want, but I think ALL the pressure is on Cards. They have to not only try to win to make playoffs, but try to avoid being remembered as biggest choke artists in baseball history.
Astros were already written off before their run, so no reason for them to press. They're just having fun right now.
Go Stros!

You're right, they aren't supposed to win it so they can't lose it. If they just go have fun I'm sure good things will happen. You know the Cards are feeling the noose drop over their necks even if it never tightens up. The Astros have already exceeded most peoples expectations of them for this season so if they jsut keep on keeping on, who know, maybe they can be this years "team nobody want to face" in the playoffs.

GO ASTROS!
