Iowa State picks up their first, first down of the game

it is not about who they are playing..it is putting a play on tape for two reasons

1. You can see how it works and use it later in a big game
2. You force other teams to prepare for the play..You run that play and force the secondary on the reverse side to stay with the WR, and Crosby will have a lane.

These are the EXACT ype of plays Texas needs to work on in easy games.

1. Leg whip by that O-Lineman was ridiculous and he should have at least been penalized.

3. Greg Davis needs to stop calling pass after pass after pass with 3:30 left in the game when we're on our 25 yrd line. No one can stop Jamaal. . .let him pound the rock.

Could not disagree more...Last week against Rice UT did not throw enough..You need to put Colt in tough situation, it is the ONLY way he will develop. You know the run game is there, they need the paqssing game to prove it can come up big when needed

Some more thoughts:

1. This game is killing us with the injuries. Robison, Selvin, JC, our new Db looked banged up on the sidelines. . .and we were already dealing with a lot of our guys being hurt like Muckleroy, etc.

2. Colt looks very mediocre. ISU had the 111th ranked pass defense coming into this football game and you'd never know it because of the way Colt's been playing. The TD pass to Finley was godawful and should have been picked off. . .he fumbles on the 2 yard line. . .and he never looks his receivers off so any DB with half a brain can jump the route and take a chance at a pick. Sweed and company are making Colt look a lot better than he really is.

3. Glad I sold my tickets for this football game because it is now raining and storming and the game is delayed.:)

YEs Colt has made some rookie throws..BUT 78% completition is not ALL the WR making him look good..He has made some good throws, and some bad throws.

Hey. . .I'm a total Horn homer and I can think objectively about Colt's playing ability. You should be able to as well.

Look at Colt's 2 TD passes today. On one, its a quick out to Sweed who runs it 20 yrds for the score and the other is a horrid pass to Finley that should have been picked.

I'm not trying to knock Colt. . .I understand he's still learning, etc. Still, this kid should know how to go through progressions and look off defenders which he never does. Seriously. . .tape a game. . .go back and watch highlights, something. . .and watch Colt in the pocket. He stares down his receivers the entire way. His decision making ability is also very questionable. It sure did look like Melton was wide open for a pitch when Colt went up inside and fumbled on the 2.

So because I dont 100% agree with you then your being objective and I am not? Like I said he made some good throws and he made some bad throws..He made a couple bad reads, but he also made some great reads such as hitting Finley on a hot route when they brought a blitz. He is a work in progress

I am not going to claim every incompletion is his fault, and every completion is the work of the WR and nothing he did right.

I agree about Snead possibly being the starter next year..BUTI can see McCoy being hard to unseat.

hearing conflicted reports..one said looked real bad, pending MRI...Another said it was not that bad..so guess we will just have to wait and see

I heard it was a bad sprained knee. Hard for a leg whip to tear ligaments in your knee or break it, which would be the worst case scenario.

I see both Robison and Selvin sitting next week against SHSU to get some rest in before OU.
