Was a great game. With about 1 min left, Vernon threw a nice TD pass from about 26 yards out. There was holding on the play they never recovered.

Vernon started to look better as the game went on but the Decatur defense was very good. They had pressure on us all night. We did have some sucess on teh option outside as the Eagles loaded up the middle to stop Whiteside which they did. He had about 50 yards on the night.

Vernon's TD came on a punt return where our DB just out ran everyone.

Decatur had one really good drive and looked very sharp. All the rest they had dropped balls and or took losses on plays. Vernon's defense did a very good job to hold the Eagles to 14 points.

Vernon threw the ball a lot tonight and had several big drops. They had a sure TD just off the fingertips of a receiver about 50 yards down field. Vernon had their chances but I think it was the pressure of the Decatur line that won them the game. They put pressue on the QB when he threw and they stopped Whiteside. Great game though. Maybe the Lions will see the Eagles again in the playoffs.

At 1-3 my Lions may fly under the radar.

Yes they looked a lot better tonight. Decatur has a very good defense.

Not really. Hirschi has not won a game in over two years. Then this season they schedule some weak teams (maybe weak who knows) and are off to a 3-0 start.

Breck is usually a decent football team. Is Breck a very good team this year, well by beating Hirschi one wouldn't know. Can't gage them on this win.
