Wylie knew they were going to win this one!! Has Gary been running over everyone?

Did Wylie get that much better or is Big Spring that bad?

I haven't read the play by play...only checked the score periodically. I do know that Big Spring's QB is a D1 recruit.

If VWG's rule about the number of Sophomores on the team holds true, the Steers are in for a LONG season.

Seriously doubt Wylie's starters play more than 1 more series. This could have been 49-0 but Wylie ran out of time and had to kick a 20 yd FG as time expired.

Wylie pulled the starters in the middle of the 2nd

Wow! I'm a bit surprised by Wylie's dominance in this one. Congrats to Wylie.

I think I saw 7th graders in for the Bulldogs in the 4th quarter.

The kid is a D-1 recruit and he can only get 14 pts off Wylie's second team? Does this guy have NO support or what?
Don't get me wrong... not trying to take anything away from Wylie's defense tonight..... but a D-1 QB prospect gets shut down like that?

WOW. This from a small 4A school... but still, that is a load of underclassmen starting on varsity.

Season doesn't look good for the Steers if your "each sophomore equals one loss rule" hold true.

wylies starting offense scored on every possesion and had no turn overs or punts in the first half. 2nd half the 2nd and 3rd team played and got some first downs and ran the clock down. good job bulldogs, looks like that O is starting to come around.

Wylie got on the board in the first quarter with a 52-yard scoring pass from Gary Edwards to Justin Skinner. The Bulldogs then scored two touchdowns within 32 seconds later in the quarter as Edwards threw six yards to Trevor Casey for the second of his two scoring passes, then on a seven-yard run by Cameron Rogers.

Big Spring (0-4) didn't score until Wylie had already built a 52-0 lead. Lance Tissue had a pair of short scoring runs in the fourth quarter for the Steers.

Tissue ran for a game-high 83 yards on 20 carries.

Tannehill the Aggie recruit was injured with a bum shoulder and not able to paly QB. he did however paly receiver and made a couple fo catches. Their backup had thrown for over 300 yards against Hereford the week before and I can not figure out how. I am not sure if their coach changed his offense during the week to try and exploit what had been a Wylie weakness and pound the ball all night long but even when they did pass the kid was running for his life all night long and was constanly over throwing his recievers. He was valiant in effort as he kept playing his heart out the entire 4 quarters but I am not sure their coaching staff gave them the best opportunity to win.
