Great win Trojans! once the passing game got going the running game open up as well and Sinton D got shreded in the second half. Beeville showed they werent giving up just before the end of the first half. Great game Pirates almost pull it out at the end.

The turning point in this game was the "onside" kick. Fans in the stands said it looked like the Sinton kicker just messed up the kick. From where I was standing it looked like a called play. If it was called, it was a stupid call. In a close game with a 20 mph wind at your back, you don't onside, you kick it long and trust your special teams to make a play. I can't really imagine anyone would make that call, especially when you just wrestled the momentum back from your opponent.

On a bright note, Sinton's O looked better tonight than in the first two games. We did manage to drive the ball the length of the field on one score. The line still needs work, but they appear to be getting there slowly.

yes it was a called play, look like he was trying to get it over the first group of players from beeville but just floated right at him.
i do think Sinton coaches were trying to keep the ball away from them and run off some more time off the clock. Would had been great call if it worked, but BAD call as it didnt work:( and gave Beeville great field positon. But the turning point was just before halftime when Beeville realize it could move the ball on the Pirates

Great game Pirates! They almost came back and I was proud that they kept fighting. Congratulations to Beeville and Coach Sosa on their win. They did use a trick play very effectively but there were some of their district scouts watching and taking note. It might have been better to have saved the play for them but I think they wanted this win bad.

I really only saw one bad call by the officials. One of Beeville's eventual scores shouldn't have been. On the west end zone, Sinton defender stepped in front of Beeville's receiver and intercepted a pass. He didn't push off, the Sinton players back collided with the receiver, and Sinton was flagged for pass interferance. That definitely was NOT interferance, it was a great defensive play.

I got to speak briefly with Adrian Alaniz who is a star pitcher at UT and came to the game to cheer for Sinton his alma mater. He is a polite outstanding young man. Some pro team is going to not only get a great player but an outstanding young man. Way to go Adrian! Hook 'em!

yea forgot about that play, i first thought he threw the flag because defender didnt turn around as ball was getting there but he did just as the ball got there and had the position to go for the ball. little contact but he was going for the ball. Was geat defensive play that should have stopped that drive.

Why did Wes Ring get pulled in the second half? He was running the offense pretty well, and WAS the offense toward the end of the game. Hope he's ok for district. Pirates played a hell of a game. If the D and special teams keep playing so well, the offense will eventually come around. Getting setup for scoring drives of 10 and 4 yards really helped the O put points on the board. A little improvement on the O line and pass D, and I'm thinking Sinton will be district champs for the 6th straight year. Good luck the rest of the way Pirates.

Thank you Blast. We have new players on offense and probably in district they will have it all together by then. Coach Sosa's son is a great QB. Good luck to Beeville the rest of the year.

He got his bell rung on one keeper sweep, so they put the backup QB in until he got rid of the cobwebs. The trainer had to hide his helmet from him to make him stay out.

Hah, that's some great effort. Saw some highlights, and the guy is huge. Looks more like a linebacker than a QB. He might not be a passer like Adrian and Daniel, but he'll find a way to tear apart defenses and put points on the board.

He is definately a competitor. Lots of speed and great determination. His passing isn't all state variety, but will be ok once the O gels. The stretcher pass he threw to his brother in the east endzone almost worked. It would have except it looked like Josh slowed up just as he crossed the goal line and the ball sailed a bit over his head. The O line has plenty of size, but needs lots of work on their blocking. Very few returners on the line.

If Beeville puts in the same effort against GP, yall should win going away.

i dont know about beeville running away with it against GP, as GP front line is very good but if they are able to spread the defense down the field they will get some chances to put up some points. that should be a very good game also that should go down to the last mins. First time this year that a team drove the ball on the Sinton D on almost all thier drives in the second half and Pirates couldnt figure out how to stop it.

This really sounded like a great game. Even though the Pirates did not win, the offense sounds like they are starting to get things slowly moving in the right direction. I noticed in the paper that they finally started throwing a little bit more, but penalties are still a problem.

Next week is homecoming against Robstown, so lets shake this one off and get ready for next week.

I know for sure now that the "onsides" we thought we saw last night was NOT a called play, it was indeed merely a bad kick. These things happen in highschool football.

I am proud of Sinton's efforts last night, we had our chances to win, and I'm sure we will be ready for district.
