but I dont get it - they were deer hunting and he shot a deer? sounds like sausage & steaks to me - whats the problem?

he was suppose to shoot a cull buck. He talks about it early thats why he keeps saying I may have messed up. There is no way as close as that deer was the he had not already tracked it. Never shoot when it is too dark. That mistake cost that guy about 6-10K.
