This was done in a famous playoff game against Cleveland in which Elway made a drive in the fourth quarter to win a game against Cleveland.

He also did a drive against California in 1982 while he was at Stanford. He got the ball deep in his own territory while trailing California 19 to 17 with 1:34 seconds left. At a 4th and 17 at about his 17 he threw a pass for about 22 yards for a first down to keep the drive alive. Then he moved the team down the field inside the 20 and then with a few seconds left Stanford kicked a goal and had the lead with just 3 seconds left in the game.

A great drive indeed. However, it was ruined as California got the kickoff and made several laterals and got to the endzone to win the game 25 to 20.
