Proof Oregon got ball against Oklahoma! [Archive]

Phil C, the ball was touched by an Oregon player before it went 10 yards, therefore they should have kicked again. Granted, OU should have not gotten themselves in that position, BUT the replay official blew it. The pass interference was also a blown call, ball was deflected at the line of scrimmage. Yes, Oregon scored and OU missed the game winning field goal, BUT if replay is to be used, it should be used for this purpose, to over turn bad calls which in this case it did not. Either use it for its purpose or do away with it. The replay official, by the way, is taking a leave of absence for the entire season. He has received death threats as well. Sad.

Go is right about the money tied to it not only for Oklahoma but for their opponents as well. I don't think the officials deserve the threats but it must be remembered that games like that also cost players and coaches who have worked hard both on and off the field.

as i watched the game i was telling everyone that no one had the ball in pile but for some reason the sports caster did not relize it either they where just focused on him touching it before it went 10 yards.

YaYa, are you kidding me??? Oregon played a football game, they had nothing to do with the calls, they just kept playing, Oklahoma felt they were screwed (as I do) and some of their fans are jack-asses (as could anyone's fans be) and are doing death threats...

#1 - The football players and coaches have nothing to do with this, one is responsible for their own actions...

#2 - We all know that no OU fan has coco's big enough to actually go through with a planned death threat :D :eek: :D

Well they would, but they shouldn't...

They've gotten screwed... these kids are going to college for three things: A shot at the NFL, a chance to win a national championship in college football and a college education... 95% of them wouldn't be at OU if it were not for football, a sport in which they take very seriously... losing a game in this NCAA "BCS BS" could cost you a chance at that national title you want, it is only natural that you raise hell if you get screwed... you would if Bandera were screwed in a playoff game, I know you would because you appreciate what those boys do just as much as I appreciate what Cuero's boys do...

They're fighting for something they believe, these other jack-asses throwin' death-threats are acting on their own desires of OU winning a National Championship, they would have done it had OU as a whole complained or not...

This is my view on that game, may be i see it this way b/c im a Texas fan but i don't know!!

Whether or not the officials screwed the call up or not Oregon still had to get the ball in the endzone!!! Oklahoma should have played better defense regardless !!!!

And I'm a UT fan as well, I agree OU shoulda stopped them, they shouldn't have left the man wide-open...

the only problem was that there were two bad calls... every normal person makes mistakes, even a person experienced in their field (as the refs in this game should have been), but two in the matter of a minute? not saying it was planning this way, but if nothing else Oklahoma can try and make the system better by using this as an example...
