plug into the side of your laptop, use them with your laptop when you are around town to get service if you can pick up a wifi network

Alright I am thinking about purchasing a laptop. I should ask the people at the campus if there is wireless capabilities.

my laptop came with one built in, but i baught one that plugs in because it got better reception and was quicker

Some College Campus's disable broadcasting so not just anyone can obtain a IP address.

on my wife's laptop it says that it has one built in.

so all i have to do is goto a WIFI hot spot and click on internet explorer?

is that right?

anyone with a wireless router can be open for someone to connect to their network unless it has the security enabled. ive had my laptop in the neighborhood and my laptop picks up networks from my neighbors.

My apt. complex offers free wireless internet, but now i know why its free, IT BLOWS!
