wow...Wylie has the #1 defense??? That's a bold statement. I think they will be pretty good...but nowhere near as good as in 2000 when they had a #1 caliber defense.

I can tell we're at # 6. I just want to understand all the other gobble-di-gook. I "get" the overall power rating....are the O/D, etc numbers the power ratings for those? And how the heck do they come up with 57th in the defensive ratings?

Ok so maybe I'm just reachin and trying to find some good after a tough loss last week (and check my math if I'm wrong) but isnt Sweetwater the closest to being in the top ten in all categories AND have the best overall average of rankings (7.5) and then Gilmer with 8.25 and then Decatur with 8.75....All that and still be playing the #2 hardest schedule. I think that bodes alot better for the Mustangs than it did when I first looked at it. Thanks WOS87!!!

I wish you could search by the different things, ie: strength of schedule, defense, etc.

The last time these two teams meet Vernon was not ranked and Decatur was highly ranked with one of the State's best QB and receiver combo.

Vernon beat the Eagles 27-21. We had 4 picks and ran the ball effectively enough to control the game. Of course that was when the Lions had my boy Z Jr! Oh the good ole days.

I thought it to be a fair assessment of our team. I guess I should have said that sounds like a true educated opinion. "True statement" got the point across to most I bet,

im sure you know your team well
better than me
i only saw last years state game
and our game at pennington 0 week
back in the flat killed us
you line is fundamentally good
backs run hard
thing i really noticed
on offense everyone looks downfield to knock some one down
you do a great job of that
punt returmn was ol fashioned 2 back cross and wall
got a coupla of our guys bad
coupla slobber knockers
new qb looked good
not fancy but solid
10-1 cover us well
thought the center did well as well as the lt tackle
as usual fundamentally sound
not flashy
lost a lot of kids from last year
but as these kids play they will get better
you play 16 the kids get a lot of practice

just my take on the situation

This poll is a little "off"...

Graham is 0-3 and they're sitting directly above us at 2-0.

Yeah, that makes sense.

It's not a poll and an 0-3 team might very well be better than a 2-0 team.

Burnet44, that play happens every week. I always pray no one ever gets hurt bad. You would think kids would know or coaches would warn them.

I knew you knew something when you posted(30 years). I appreciate your assessment. Thanks! We started finding our way last week and I believe we will turn the corner this bye week and then at homecoming the following week. Good luck to Robinson this year.

La Grange is ranked 40th. I think at this point in the season that is about right. The Leps are improving and may prove to be much better but that has to be earned on the field. They begin district with Giddings (away), Caldwell (home), and Bellville (away) in a couple of weeks. Those three games will define this team. Go Leps!

I'm not sure about saying what if they werent allowed but I do agree that they in no way stopped the Sweetwater run attack. What they did do is keep the ball out of the Sweetwater O's hands, which is exactly what I would have done. Brilliant Brilliant move by Decatur. My hats off to Story.
