I'm fine, but all fo the ditches are full and the fields outside of town are flooded. The dumpster by my place is floating in the alley.

They interviewed some family and showed the Creek over its banks.

Apparently there is LOL

Typical news, overblowing the situation. But they reported it and I wanted to check on everyone because I know that Sinton can flood easily.

Haha, actually it was Channel 3. I passed their report clicking the channel over to 6 and I saw the flooding. I paused to listen to their report and it looked bad.

Trust me on this, that definitely isn't the highest that creek has ever gotten. I was born and raised about 100 yards from the center of that creek out on the west end of Sinton. Back before the bypass was dredged for that creek to straighten it out, we went through one flood that saw 8 feet of water in our front yard. I can remember the kids in town paddling up and down main street west of the RR tracks on surfboards.

Sinton didn't flood but a crane workin on the by-pass was completely submerged. Owner didn't think it would rain that much. Now THAT'S where the cameras shoulda been.:D :D :D

How's the field looking for Friday?

It flooded horrendously in West Sinton. In fact, my rent house out there had several feet of water on the front lawn. The level of water as decribed to me was about as high as it was during hurricane Allen. Luckily my house is about 4 feet above the the surrounding terrain. Not so lucky were the cars that were in the driveway. Water in the transmission and crankcase from what I hear.:(
I'm heading down there to see if my property sustained any damage.

The flooding did make the Today Show this morning when Al Roker did the weather...they showed some flooded vehicles/streets in Corpus.
