The photo is an excellent example of something that is worth remembering by all who would look at photos when trying to judge officiating performance.....perspective distortion. Look at the picture, how close are the 3 players to each other? They look very, very close, right. Look at the videos of this play and you see the receiver and the defender draped on him are actually at the 4 and the DB that deflects the pass is at the 6, not so close after all. Whenever telephoto lenses are used (which they almost always are in sports photography) you encounter this distortion. (And it is also there if a telephoto is used on a video camera)
