They threw Finley a pass early on last week and he dropped it...

I do not think Shipley is starting because Pittman fumbled a ball, they're playing Rice, they're gunna be putting cheerleaders in the game here pretty soon...

That did not cost the game..of course it hurt, but it was not the last drive of the game or anything.

Well unless they lost the game 3-0 I cant say that. I dont think Texas offense had 24 points in them last week. Just as big of a reason was the last minute drive by OSU at the end of the half

A good game by the Horns! Rice probably could have held it to a respectible score but the fumble in the end zone turned it into a rout for Texas. Whew! Texas escapes from Houston and Rice with a win! Good job Horns!

Yep, Mack was so scared the Owls might look respectable, he kept McCoy in till late in the game. Oh, I saw previous 3A star Jordan Shipley in in the 3-4th Q, too. I am an Owl fan, as many of you might remember. Got my Master's at UT, though never had much allegiance to the teams. It was a pathetic showing of the Owls, I admit. No excuse. What I found interesting was that the Horns had the most penalties in a game since 1978, when they were playing, oh my, RICE! Silly, isn't it? I appreciated the commentator on ESPN2 say a couple times, that UT had been "outsmarted" by Rice. A few of the UT players will go pro, a few will improve on the legal record, a few will get degrees perhaps. A few Rice players will go pro, the majority of Rice Owls will get degrees and they weill ALL be productive, successful members of society. So, in the game of LIFE, which matters more than yesterday's game--OWLS WIN!!! (This is NOT to say that no Longhorn athletes have ever become successes; we have a dear friend who played @ UT, went pro, got degrees and is quite successful.)
